Eli — Terms of Service

Effective June 17, 2026 · Last updated June 17, 2026

Eli is published by Timeless Tech Learning (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms are an agreement between you and Timeless Tech Learning about how you may use the Eli app (“Eli”). We've written them in plain English on purpose. By using Eli, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

If you have questions about these Terms, email support@timelesstechlearning.com.

1. What Eli is

Eli is a patient, judgment-free technology guide. You can ask Eli questions about your phone, your computer, apps, settings, and online safety, and Eli answers in plain language. Eli can also look at a message, email, or screenshot you share and give you its best read on whether it looks like a scam.

Eli is here to help you feel more confident with technology. It is a helper — not a replacement for your own judgment, and not a guarantee.

2. Eli's guidance is automated and can be wrong

This is the most important thing to understand, so we'll say it plainly:

Eli gives automated, informational guidance that can be incorrect, incomplete, or out of date. Eli's answers — including its scam checks and safety suggestions — are generated by artificial intelligence. AI can make mistakes. It can misread a message, miss a real scam, or flag something harmless. Screens, buttons, and steps on your device may also differ from what Eli describes.

Eli does not provide professional, legal, financial, medical, or security advice, and using Eli does not create any professional relationship. Eli's guidance is general information only. For decisions that matter — especially anything involving your money, your passwords, your accounts, or your personal safety — please use your own judgment and, when in doubt, check with a person or institution you trust (such as your bank, a family member, or a qualified professional).

A scam check is a second opinion, never a final verdict. If Eli says a message looks safe, that does not guarantee it is safe. If you are unsure, the safest choice is simple: don't click anything, don't share personal information, and ask someone you trust.

3. Who can use Eli

Eli is built for adult learners. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use Eli. We do not knowingly provide Eli to children under 13.

4. Your account

You can use Eli anonymously — no account required. If you choose to create an Eli account, or connect your ADAPT account, you're responsible for keeping your login details private and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you think someone else has gained access to your account.

5. Acceptable use

Please use Eli for its intended purpose: learning about and getting help with everyday technology. Please don't:

  • Use Eli to break the law or to harm, deceive, or invade the privacy of others.
  • Try to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to Eli or the systems behind it.
  • Submit content that you don't have the right to share, or that contains other people's sensitive personal information without a good reason.

We may suspend or limit access to Eli if it's being used in a way that harms other people, the service, or us.

6. Third-party services and the ADAPT app

Eli relies on trusted third-party services to work, and can connect to our companion app, ADAPT. The data those services receive is described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of ADAPT and of any third-party service is also subject to their own terms and policies, which we don't control.

7. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Eli running well, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may update, change, or discontinue features over time to keep improving the app. There are daily limits on some features (such as scam checks) so the service stays fast and dependable for everyone.

8. Limitation of liability

We genuinely want Eli to help you. But to the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • Eli is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
  • Timeless Tech Learning is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, money, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) Eli — including any reliance on Eli's answers, scam checks, or other guidance.
  • To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Eli is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use Eli in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) twenty U.S. dollars (US $20).

Some places don't allow certain limitations of liability or the exclusion of certain warranties. If that's true where you live, some of the above may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights.

9. Indemnity

If your misuse of Eli — for example, using it in a way these Terms prohibit — leads to a claim against us by someone else, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages we incur as a result, to the extent the law allows.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to Eli or these Terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, unless the law where you live gives you the right to resolve it elsewhere.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll announce it in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Eli after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
